This exhibition at the Beijing World Art Museum on classical Chinese furniture features some sixty masterpieces of huanghuali and zitan on display from January 9 to January 20, 2008. Organized by scholar Tian Jiaqing and the China Association for the Research of Cultural Relics, this exhibition has brought splendid examples of classical Chinese furniture from the Ming, Qing and Republican periods as well as several modern pieces previously on display at the Peabody Essex Museum. Full page color illustrations of these remarkable pieces bring this exhibition to life.
